I make custom loading blocks. I started making them for myself and a few as Christmas gifts for our Posse Christmas parties. Soon folks were asking for them. Everyone that has one seems to really like them. They told me I should start making and selling them so here I am.
The block is made from oak with a dark walnut stain. If the rifle caliber is .40 or larger the block is 2 1/2" X 8 1/2". The 45 block fits 45LC, .44, 44/40, and 38/40. If the rifle caliber is smaller than .40 the block is 2 1/2" X 7 1/2". .22 blocks are 2" X 6 1/2". I can make the block in any combination of rimmed pistol caliber that you would like.
The leather is 8-9 oz. I use a medium brown antique stain on the leather. This will come out different on each piece so please don't expect me to be able to match a specific color. I can make it darker or maybe a little lighter but that's about it. I also have a mahogany stain, which is a dark reddish brown, saddle tan and black. I don't really care for the black because there is no contrast and the name/stamps are hard to see.
The loading block comes border stamped with name and picture stamps. Stamps will only be added if there is room after I put the name on the cover. I can get 6 letters per line on a 38 size block and 8 letters per line on a 45 size block and still have room for the stamps. I can get up to 3 lines on the cover. Anything more than that would overlap or be covered by the snap and screw post. Click the links below for available stamps, borders and pictures of some I have made.
